Public housing was established by the federal government to
provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible
low-income families, the elderly, and persons with
disabilities. Stonehaven Apartments is the only public
housing property in Georgetown.
It was built between 1967 and 1973, and has 158 one, two,
three and four bedroom units and is a mix of elderly
residents, disabled residents, and families.
Currently, we maintain a 99% occupancy rate. However, our
waiting list is approximately nine (9) to twelve (12) months
long. |
