ROSS Program Partners:                                                    

We offer programming to promote and encourage self sufficiency. We have on-site a Senior Center and a Boys & Girls Club and foster intergenerational community interaction. We partner with other community agencies to better serve our residents by coordinating services and make necessary resources available to them.

Following is a current list of formal partnerships, along with the programs and services offered to GHA residents through these partnerships:

  • FRAMEWORKS Community Development Corporation: Financial literacy classes; homebuyers education; credit counseling.

  • First Texas Bank: Financial education; identify theft prevention classes

  • Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area: job search assistance; job seeking workshops; career assessments

  • CARTS - Capital Area Rural Transportation Services: Demand response transit service

  • Bluebonnet MHMR Services: Development of treatment plans; individual therapy; group therapy; housing assistance; peer counseling; chemical dependency treatment; day support; medication management

  • Literacy Council of Williamson County: GED preparation; English as a Second Language (ESL)

  • Getsemani Community Center: ESL classes; FAFSA assistance; community activities

  • Boys & Girls Club of Georgetown: Club programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

  • Capital Area Food Bank of Texas: provides food and grocery products, nutrition education and social services outreach to 300,000 clients each year through a network of 300 Partner Agencies.

  • Family Eldercare: supports caregivers as well as senior clients with services and education that allow them the opportunity to have balance in their lives and to maintain good health.

  • Crestview Baptist Church: offers opportunities for fellowship and personal growth through various ministries that include ESL; after school tutoring; children’s activities and summer camps

  • SOLO House: offers singles groups; divorced parents groups; individual counseling; children of divorce groups for kids

  • Texas Department of State Health Services: promotes optimal health for individuals and communities while providing effective health, mental health and substance abuse services to Texans

  • Stephen Ministries: a caring ministry by trained lay people who offer Christian friendship and concerned listening to people when they need it most.

  • Community Action Inc.:

  • Catholic Charities of Central Texas: focuses on empowering families with the knowledge and skills that will help them stabilize and achieve self-sufficiency. Life Skills Classes cover topics such as English as a Second Language; Financial Literacy; Foreclosure Intervention; Health/Nutrition provides case management for HIV positive individuals that includes transportation to medical, dental appointments, financial assistance for housing, utilities, food, prescriptions, physician visits, and radiology services.

  • Stonehaven Senior Center: meets the health, educational, social, recreational and creative needs of the Senior Citizen population of the Georgetown and Williamson County area by offering activities, congregate meals, classes and workshops for ages 50+.

  • GISD Homeless Program: assisting all GISD homeless students and their families to be well fed, clothed, cared for and supported.

  • First Baptist Church of Georgetown: dedicated to promoting community outreach, developing volunteer leadership, and offering activities for children and their families.

  • Habitat for Humanity: offers financial literacy classes; building houses in partnership with people in need of decent, affordable housing.

  • The Caring Place: assists families with financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical expenses, temporary shelter, transportation, non-financial assistance such as food, clothing and household items

  • Church of Christ – GT: offers opportunities for fellowship and personal growth through various ministries that include family fun activities; summer events; meals and childcare during financial literacy and other informational classes

  • Williamson County Financial Stability Coalition: offers free income tax preparation services for qualifying individuals

  • Williamson & Burnet Counties Opportunities: offers a comprehensive Head Start child development program serving families with children from birth to age five; Meals On Wheels that provides hot, nutritious, home delivered meals to homebound seniors and noon group meals at Neighborhood Centers; offers emergency assistance with utilities and housing to help families with emergency situations

  • The Georgetown Project- Bridges to Growth Resource Center: offers Children’s literacy groups; free lending library of early childhood books and toys; parent education; training for childcare providers; provides services available in Spanish

  • Goodwill Industries: Customer service training, soft skills, and cash handling employment training.
